The PIC, Boston’s MassHire Workforce Board, Joins the FutureSkills Regional Upskilling Roadshow

The PIC, as Boston’s MassHire Workforce Board, joined the Baker-Polito Administration, MassHire Career Centers and Workforce Boards, the Commonwealth Corporation, and local employers for the Greater Boston session of the FutureSkills Regional Upskilling Roadshows hosted at Bunker Hill Community College.

The session was one of ten roadshows to connect employers to new and existing workforce supports from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These provide a unique opportunity for employers to hear from and engage with Massachusetts workforce leaders.

Speakers include Mike Kennealy, Secretary, Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, Jim Peyser, Secretary of Education, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Jennifer James Price, Undersecretary, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, and James Canniff, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services, Bunker Hill Community College.

Undersecretary Jenn James led the MassHire Breakout session, along with our own Mark Wigfall, Market Maker, to share how the MassHire system can support employers in building a pipeline of skilled employees, and how companies can access more than $200 million in workforce funding.
