Building Your Workforce

PIC provides support to employers wherever they are along the workforce pipeline.

Supporting Immediate Staffing Needs

As the Boston MassHire Workforce Board, the PIC charters two Career Centers that offer employment services and access to training programs for jobseekers, as well as business services for employers.

Find your local MassHire Career Center at mass.gov/masshire-career-centers.

Talent Pipelines Through Training & Grants

The PIC connects and convenes employers, education and training providers, and community organizations to support workforce development initiatives and partnerships.

To learn more about connecting with training providers and grant opportunities to develop a talent pipeline, contact PIC Workforce Development Director Angela McCabe.

Future Workforce Development Through Youth Programs

Career Services –  The PIC works with over 200 local businesses to place thousands of Boston Public School (BPS) students in private sector internships to give them access to networking and skill building that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise. PIC Career Specialists based in BPS high schools work closely with students and their teachers to build and enhance the work readiness skills of our city’s youth.

For more information on Career Services initiatives, contact PIC Employer Engagement Director Josh Bruno.

Postsecondary Success PIC Career Coaches help BPS graduates navigate the transition from high school to college, access college resources, and advance toward a degree and a career. Career Coaches also help students with finding career exploration activities and employment support.

For more information on Postsecondary opportunities, contact PIC Youth Transitions Director Kathy Hamilton.
