TechHire Boston

TechHire Boston is a convening of organizations, resources, events, and ideas committed to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive technology workforce in the Boston area.

Launched in 2016 as a partnership between the Boston PIC and SkillWorks, TechHire Boston is a regional strategy that focuses on developing the IT workforce by catalyzing employer engagement with tech education and training programs.  Our work is guided by an advisory board comprised of local IT leaders and business organizations from different sectors as well as tech-focused training and education programs.  The board meets quarterly to frame the issues, review current research, learn best practices, and hear from employers directly.

TechHire also maintain the Tech Grants Working Group, which provides employer input on grant opportunities and training programs.  An events sub-committee helps plan TechHire “Massachusetts Advantage” events that highlight leading area tech training and education programs and how employers successfully partner with them.
