Re-Engaged: 2021 Boston Mayoral Candidates Forum on Youth and Young Adult Issues
On Thursday, August 19, all five candidates for Mayor of Boston appeared on a campaign forum and spoke knowledgeably on issues such as youth voice, alternative education, community college, mental health, career pathways, and high school internships. The PIC was one of the cosponsors of the forum along with Teen Empowerment, the Boston Opportunity Agenda, and coalitions such as the Opportunity Youth Collaborative, the Youth Transitions Task Force, and Gang Gang Votes, a youth-led civic engagement group.
With early voting already begun and less than a week to go until preliminary election day, we thought it important to share recordings of the forum with as many partners as possible. We created a five-minute video with highlights from the forum.
For the record and for those who would like to see or scroll through the entire forum, we are also providing Re-Engaged: A 70-minute Candidate Forum on Youth and Young Adult Issues. We want to thank all five candidates for joining us and for their thoughtful responses.
