2017 Job Shadow Day
On March 10, the PIC hosted its 22nd annual citywide Job Shadow Day. More than 400 Boston public high school students were hosted by 26 local employers who gave them a firsthand look at a wide variety of careers. Participating employers ranged from large healthcare organizations to small tech startups, allowing students to see diverse workplace environments.
Job Shadow Day provides an excellent opportunity for employers to connect with the community, meet the future workforce, and help students appreciate the connection between academic performance and career attainment. It also gives students the chance to connect with professionals and begin to picture the possibilities for future career pathways.
